Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old. Artist accounts are invite-only. You're responsible for the phone number and email you use to sign in and for activity under your account.

Boldline is a trust and verification layer for the tattoo industry: verified artist profiles, per-work authentication (“seals”), structured booking briefs, and reviews tied to completed work. Verification is a trust signal, not a guarantee of any outcome, and it is free and can never be purchased.

Boldline is not a payment processor and does not hold funds. Any deposit or payment arranged between a client and an artist happens through the artist's own payment links and is solely between those parties. Boldline is not a party to, and is not responsible for, the tattoo services, bookings, deposits, or refunds arranged through it.

We sign you in with a one-time passcode sent by SMS or email. By entering your phone number and requesting a code, you consent to receive account text messages from Boldline — one-time login codes and, if you book with an artist, appointment reminders and booking updates. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Codes are personal to you — never share them. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. You agree not to:

• Impersonate another artist, person, or business, or misrepresent your work.
• Use the Service to scam, defraud, harass, or harm anyone.
• Submit false verification material or claim work that isn't yours.
• Attempt to bypass security, rate limits, or access accounts that aren't yours.
• Scrape, overload, or interfere with the Service.

We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these Terms or threaten the integrity of the Service.

You keep ownership of the images, videos, and text you submit. You grant Boldline a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate and promote the Service (for example, showing your portfolio and seals on your public profile). You are responsible for having the rights to what you upload.

Booking briefs are requests sent from a client to an artist; whether and how an artist responds is up to them. Reviews may only be left for real, completed, verified appointments, and must be honest. We may remove content that is fake, abusive, or violates these Terms.

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that verification, seals, profiles, or any third-party artist or client are accurate, safe, or fit for a particular purpose. You use the Service, and engage any artist or client, at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Boldline and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any tattoo services, bookings, deposits, or disputes between users. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service (which, for verification, is zero).

We may update these Terms or the Service over time; material changes will be reflected in the date above. You may stop using the Service at any time, and we may suspend or end access for conduct that violates these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The Service is operated by Brew Joy LLC, San Diego, California. Questions? Email hello@getboldline.com.
