Privacy Policy

• Account & sign-in. Your mobile phone number and/or email address, used to send you a one-time login code and to secure your account.
• Artist profile. Information you choose to publish — handle, display name, city, portfolio images, and the verification (“seal”) videos you submit.
• Booking briefs. When a client sends an artist a brief, we process the details they provide (name, contact, and tattoo request details) to deliver it to that artist.
• Reviews. Ratings and text tied to a completed, verified appointment.
• Technical data. Basic log and device data (e.g. IP address, browser) needed to operate the Service securely and prevent abuse.

• Provide, maintain, and secure the Service and your account.
• Send you a one-time passcode by SMS or email so you can sign in (this is authentication, not marketing).
• Deliver transactional notifications you'd expect — e.g. a new booking brief, an appointment confirmation or reminder. You can turn off non-essential reminders at any time.
• Operate verification (“seals”) and protect the Service from fraud and scams.

When you sign in with your phone, we send a one-time verification code via SMS through our messaging provider, Twilio. If you book with an artist, we may also send appointment reminders and booking updates by SMS to the number you provide. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share, sell, rent, or transfer your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in information to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your number is used only to deliver the codes and account notifications described in this policy, and is shared only with the messaging provider (Twilio) that transmits them on our behalf.

If you no longer wish to receive a text code, simply use email sign-in instead, or contact hello@getboldline.com. For help, reply HELP to a message or email us; standard carrier STOP handling applies to any recurring messages.

We share information only as needed to run the Service:

• Between users, as intended. A booking brief you submit is shared with the artist you send it to. Your public artist profile is visible to anyone.
• Service providers (processors). We use vetted vendors to run the Service — Supabase (database, authentication, storage), Twilio (SMS delivery), Resend (email delivery), and Vercel (hosting). They may process your data only to provide their service to us.
• Legal. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.

We do not sell your personal information.

We keep information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. Access is protected with database-level row security and least-privilege controls; verification videos are stored privately. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.

You can access or update your profile in your dashboard, manage notification preferences from the footer of any notification email, and request access to or deletion of your personal data by emailing hello@getboldline.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law.

The Service is intended for adults (18+) in the context of professional tattooing and is not directed to children.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice.
